Surplus Tickets and Great Experiences

Birmingham Art School ha developed the S.T.A.G.E Web App. ‘Surplus Tickets Are Great Experiences’ is a web app created by InEdTech Solutions and Birmingham Arts School. This web app has been developed to ensure more young people get access to high quality performances across the city.
Working alongside B:Music, The Alexandra, Birmingham Royal Ballet and Birmingham Repertory Theatre, this app will provide schools with access to free or heavily discounted ticket offers for shows where there is extra capacity. This will mean arts organisations can list their offer for schools onto the app and schools can then ring up and claim those tickets. Please bare in mind that all arts organisations also have their own financial targets so lead in times when tickets are available may vary and offers may be scarce so teachers will need to claim tickets soon as they will be on a first come first served basis.
Access to the app is now available to all Birmingham schools. Teachers will be able to claim tickets to either organise trips with their students or claim tickets to pass onto students and their parents/guardians. Ultimately we at BAS want to ensure young people have access to these cultural opportunities.
How will it work?

Once you’ve registered you’ll receive a login access link and instructions to use the app itself

Check the app every few days. These are surplus tickets and will be available for short periods of time in very limited numbers. If you see a show on the app you are interested in booking, simply ring up the box office for the organisation you wish to book tickets for and state the name of your school. Each of the 4 arts organisations have a list of Birmingham Schools schools and the app will only let them offer tickets to these particular schools.

Please always visit the direct show pages for specific show information. This will allow you to double check age guidance, trigger warnings and other information you may need to know. The app will only display information on the number of surplus tickets available for any show, and the organisation offering these tickets.

To ensure equality and fairness, if your school claims surplus tickets through the Stage Web App, you will be eligible to claim more tickets only after six months from the date of your previous claim.
We’re really excited to bring this app to Birmingham Schools as we understand the pressures on funding schools are facing and we want to ensure that these pressures do not limit or sacrifice the creative experiences that young people in the city deserve.
